About Real Estate Finance Academy
Real Estate Finance Academy was founded by longtime industry veteran, Trevor Calton. A former Commercial Real Estate Broker and Professor of Real Estate Finance, he has a passion for teaching and helping others advance their careers.
After earning both the "#1 Top Producer" and "Rookie of the Year" awards in his very first year as an CRE broker (out of 31 agents), Trevor was immediately tapped as the head trainer for all new agents and mortgage brokers at his firm.
For almost 10 years, Trevor also taught Real Estate Finance & Investments in the Master of Real Estate program MSRE/MRED at Portland State University. A perennial favorite among the cohorts (with a 4.9/5 average rating on Rate My Professors), it was there his students asked him to consider teaching beyond the university, sparking the genesis for Real Estate Finance Academy.
After retiring from moonlighting as a Professor in 2020, he continues to guest lecture for universities and CRE industry association worldwide. Over the past 20+ years, Trevor has trained and mentored thousands of CRE agents, lenders, and investors in the analysis of real estate finance and investments.
