About Real Estate Finance Academy 

Real Estate Finance Academy was founded in 2018 by Trevor Calton, a longtime veteran of commercial real estate & mortgage banking, with deep experience in real estate finance, commercial real estate acquisitions, financial analysis, mortgage loan underwriting, investment sales, capital markets, and asset management. ​

Since 1997, Trevor has $5+billion of commercial real estate acquisitions experience. He has overseen more than 6000 units of multifamily housing, and underwritten billions of dollars of commercial mortgage loans. ​

Trevor was also a Professor of Real Estate Finance in the Master of Real Estate program at Portland State University from 2011-2019. He has trained thousands of real estate investors, agents, mortgage lenders, and other professionals in real estate finance and investments.

Trevor is the recipient of numerous awards, including the United States Presidential Service Award, the Business Journal's 'Forty Under 40' Award, Bank of America‘s ’Local Hero’ award, and many others.

Trevor earned both his Bachelor's degree and MBA from the University of Oregon. In his spare time, he speaks regularly to professional associations, universities, and non-profits, teaching career-building workshops throughout North America.
